You may have noticed a new tab on The Art of Striving called “Book of Mormon Book Club,” and I wanted to introduce you to this exiting new project.
Lately I’ve been really inspired by Thomas S. Monson’s encouragement to read the Book of Mormon. In a talk called “The Power of the Book of Mormon,” he said,
“If you are not reading the Book of Mormon each day, please do so. If you will read it prayerfully and with a sincere desire to know the truth, the Holy Ghost will manifest its truth to you. If it is true—and I solemnly testify that it is—then Joseph Smith was a prophet who saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.”
I started to do that and felt excited by what I was learning. I began to discover just how relevant the Book of Mormon is to life today, and I wanted to share that excitement and knowledge with others. So, I’ve started the Book of Mormon Book Club. It’s an online book club that anyone can join.
You don’t need to be a Latter-day Saint to read the Book of Mormon. I am positive anyone who reads it will find inspired words of wisdom and an increased faith in God. Here’s a video introduction to the club.
